Chapter 21: Of Religious Worship, and the Sabbath Day

Religious worship is to be given to God, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; and to him alone;¹ not to angels, saints, or any other creature:² and, since the fall, not without a Mediator; nor in the mediation of any other but of Christ alone.³

Matthew 4:10

Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,

“‘You shall worship the Lord your God
and him only shall you serve.’”

John 5:23

that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (ESV)

Colossians 2:18

Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind,

Revelation 19:10
